By about 2000, BYD had become one of the worlds largest manufacturers of cellphone batteries. Wang signed an agreement last year with Autobinck, a Dutch dealer group, to distribute its cars in the Netherlands and five Eastern European countries. The company hasnt yet decided whether it will enter the U.S.
