The state of Texas is now offering rebates on select electric vehicle (EV) purchases including some Tesla models, as made available through a limited-time grant program. To apply for the Texas EV rebate, drivers simply have to follow the instructions and fill out the appropriate application forms, which can be found here.

Matrix Renewables’ Stillhouse Solar Project is expected to start commercial operation by October 2025 in Bell County, Texas. Hyundai invests more in Georgia to produce hybrids Hyundai’s Metaplant in Georgia was initially supposed to be a dedicated factory for EV production. The agreement will run from 2025 through 2040.

A study by researchers at the University of Texas found that in general, use of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) can lead to an increase in ozone during nighttime hours (due to decreased scavenging from both vehicles and EGU stacks) and a decrease in ozone during daytime hours.
