ANSI releases for public comment draft roadmap of standards and codes for EVs at scale

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) released for public review and comment a draft of the Roadmap of Standards and Codes for Electric Vehicles at Scale developed by the Institute’s Electric Vehicles Standards Panel ( EVSP ). This includes recommending pre-standardization research and development (R&D) where needed.

BMW Group to lead €19.5M HyCET project consortium on hydrogen combustion engine trucks

The German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) approved the funding application for the consortium research project HyCET (Hydrogen Combustion Engine Trucks) led by the BMW Group. The other HyCET project partners are DEUTZ AG, DHL Freight GmbH, KEYOU GmbH, TotalEnergies Marketing Deutschland GmbH and Volvo Group.

BMW Group to open Cell Manufacturing Competence Center this fall

With the emmission control approval procedure now completed, the necessary conditions are in place for commissioning of near-standard production of lithium-ion battery cells at the competence center in Parsdorf, outside of Munich.
