TREMEC acquires Electric GT, advancing offerings in the turn-key ICE-to-BEV conversion market

TREMEC, a subsidiary of KUO , has acquired Electric GT , a provider of plug-and-play EV conversion systems. The acquisition will enable TREMEC to strengthen its product offerings in the rapidly growing ICE-to-BEV vehicle conversion market. The newly branded company, TREMEC – Electric GT, will be based out of Electric GT’s headquarters in Huntington Beach, CA, and will report directly to TREMEC leadership with access to TREMEC’s global resources.

EcoProBM, SK On and Ford to invest C$1.2B to build NCM cathode manufacturing facility in Bécancour, Québec

SK On, Korea-based EcoProBM and Ford will invest C$1.2 billion (US$886 million) to build a cathode manufacturing facility that will provide materials that ultimately supply batteries for Ford’s future electric vehicles. SpaceX launches 22 Starlinks from Florida, delays launch from California

SpaceX had its sights set on back-to-back launches from the East and West Coasts. However, only the Florida launch managed to get off the ground and into orbit. The Starlink Group 6-10 mission lifted off at 11:36 p.m. ET (03:36 UTC on the 17th) from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. That mission itself faced a couple of delays due to weather around the Space Coast, but SpaceX was able to find a window for a successful launch.
