Tesla’s Megapacks offer energy storage for renewable sources like solar, and as the company deploys more and more of these projects around the world, one large site with these giant batteries has just gone online in Hawaii. China imports most of its oil and so that is not an issue. Plus the dealer model in US is unique to that country. In most countries OEM themself sell the car directly to customers.
