HF Sinclair selected Topsoe as a technology provider for the production of renewable fuels at three facilities: Sinclair, Wyoming; Cheyenne, Wyoming; and Artesia, New Mexico. All three facilities have now successfully been put into operation and deliver renewable diesel into the United States transportation market.

At the C40 Mayors Summit in Mexico City, the mayors of Paris, Mexico City and Madrid pledged to remove diesel cars from their cities by 2025. The global campaign will support city governments to reduce harmful emissions from the transport, waste and energy sectors, as well as mobilizing citizen action.

The investment covers three projects: a new engine plant in Chihuahua; expansion of Ford’s I-4 and diesel engine lines in Chihuahua; and a new transmission plant—Ford’s first in Mexico—in Guanajuato. As a result of these investments, the Ford Engine Plant in Chihuahua will become the biggest engine plant in Mexico.

A new international study has found that laboratory tests of nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel vehicles significantly underestimate the real-world emissions by as much as 50%. Those markets include Australia; Brazil; Canada; China; the European Union; India; Japan; Mexico; Russia; South Korea; and the United States.
