EEA reports sharp decrease in CO2 emissions of new cars in Europe in 2020

New car emissions were increasing as recently as two years ago, but the sharp drop last year shows that carmakers respond to CO2 standards. Some carmakers have already said when they will go fully electric, but stricter CO2 standards leading to zero-emissions are needed to ensure the whole industry phases out fossil-fuel engines by 2035.

BMW Group secures CO2-reduced steel for global production network

Around 20% of supply chain CO 2 emissions for a mid-sized fully-electric vehicle are attributable to steel— which comes in third, after battery cells and aluminum. The BMW Group already signed an agreement with Swedish startup H2 Green Steel in October of last year.

Porsche commissions MAN electric eTruck for green logistics at Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen
