ProLogium to build €5.2B gigafactory for solid-state batteries in France

Taiwan-based ProLogium has chosen France as the location for its first large-scale solid-state battery manufacturing facility outside of Taiwan. ProLogium will invest a total of €5.2 billion to set up a 48 GWh gigafactory and an R&D center. The company’s proprietary technologies are protected by more than 600 patents worldwide.

The ICCT: Nearly half of the world’s EVs are in 25 cities; China leads the way

Nearly half of the world’s electric vehicles are in 25 cities, according to a new briefing by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). As of the end of 2017, these 25 cities were home to nearly 1.4 Cumulative electric vehicle sales and 2017 passenger vehicle sales in top global electric vehicle markets.

Renault Group and Plug Power launch HYVIA joint venture; ecosystem of fuel cell LCVs, green hydrogen & refueling stations

The joint venture is equally owned by the two partners and is chaired by David Holderbach, with more than 20 years of experience in strategic, product and international sales at the Renault Group.
