Electric range is 12 kilometers (7 miles). Development of this lithium-ion battery was inspired by technologies that have already proven themselves under the conditions in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team's Formula 1 hybrid racing cars. As in Formula 1, the battery is specifically designed for fast power delivery and draw.
