(A The first nine communities to participate are: Sacramento, Los Angeles the San Francisco Bay-San Jose area, New York City, Orlando, Austin, Detroit, Washington and Redmond, Wash. A $2,000 value!).

Plus installation. Surprising to many, including I suspect Tesla Motors itself, they found that about half the charging of Roadsters at home in the U.S. My installation was pretty simple, so it cost me nothing. Something Ecotality couldn’t do even with $100 million in federal grant money. Need it cost this much?
