Scientist have confirmed that unlike gasoline cars, plug-ins will get cleaner as they get older -- because our power grid is getting cleaner. Finally, looking at the non-electric fuel, instead of using gasoline for long-trips, PHEVs could run on bio-diesel, cellulose ethanol, or other bio-fuels to further reduce greenhouse gases.

2010 Prius designed to be manufactured with NiMH or Lithium batteries. Blue Concept PHEV Van with diesel or hydrogen fuel cells and rooftop photovoltaic. The Omori factory currently produces NiMH cells. Says demand and whether people will plug in remain to be proven. Expects production around 2014. 11/11/06 General Motors Corp.
