Redeem was the first commercially available RNG vehicle fuel, derived from capturing biogenic methane that is produced from the decomposition of organic waste from dairies, landfills, and wastewater treatment plants. The City of Tucson, AZ has signed a multi-year maintenance agreement with Clean Energy.

The project will replace 190 older diesel school buses with hybrid electric school buses to be used in school districts throughout Kentucky. The project will replace 180 diesel drayage trucks at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach with LNG trucks. Total DOE award: $13,181,171. Total DOE award: $9,950,708.
