A PHEV can provide power to an entire home in the case of an outage; A fleet of PHEVs could power critical systems during emergencies. They reinforce the Pacific National Labs January 2007 findings that we wont have to build new power plants for cars that charge at night. Thats 20-25 cents a gallon. Why Pay More for a PHEV?
