Aventine sends first unit-train shipment of ethanol from Nebraska to Alabama

A BNSF ethanol unit train may consist of 96 ethanol tank cars, 2 buffer cars (62' in length) and 4 BNSF locomotives (75' in length). The unit train pulled out of Aurora heading to Birmingham, Alabama where the ethanol will be blended in gasoline to enhance octane.

Clean Energy wins $10M, multi-year transit deal with New Jersey Transit

NJ Transit is expected to operate a fleet of 147 CNG commuter buses estimated to consume approximately 2 million gasoline gallon equivalents (GGEs) each year. Natural gas fuel costs less than gasoline or diesel, depending on local market conditions. In 2015, Dillon’s fleet consumed 1.1 million GGEs of natural gas in Texas.
