The Wrangler 4xe (pronounced “four-by-e”) will become Jeep’s third plug-in hybrid for Europe, where far more stringent emission rules encourage plug-in cars of all types. The EPA rates the 4xe at 22 miles of electric range and an unimpressive 20 mpg operating as a hybrid. The two couldn’t be more different. Jeep forums are mixed.
