He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, now Virginia Tech, and received a master's degree in industrial management as a Sloan Fellow at MIT. While there, he suggested the company build more accurate calibration systems. He also was a member of the IEEE–Eta Kappa Nu honor society.

Building off of that, we’ve been able to design something with much higher power density than any automotive DC-DC, at least that I’ve seen, and great efficiency. Did my undergrad at MIT and then PhD at Berkeley, pretty much all in energy technologies—solar, hydrogen storage for fuel cell vehicles. Can you tell us what led you to ONE?
