South Dakota School of Mines & Technology vying to establish international center for solid-state batteries

The center would be a huge economic boost to both SD Mines as well as the state of South Dakota, says Dr. Alevtina Smirnova, an associate professor of chemistry and applied biological sciences and electrical and computer engineering at Mines. Each university received $15,000 of the planning grant.
