Hyundai Partnering with Korean battery companies for hybrids. Mazda Ford Partner was reported to be developing Series PHEV based on Mazda 5 MPV platform. Shiraishi said the two major challenges to introducing a hybrid is the current battery capacity, which has to improve significantly, and speed of recharging it.
