Caroline Reichert, an RWE spokeswoman, noted that the idea here is to ensure that "a car can be recharged in Italy in exactly the same way as in Denmark, Germany or France." Or Cell phone companies agreeing on all cellphone using a mini-usb plug. This would be like all laptop makers agreeing on the same plug to fit in all laptops.
