New vehicle market share for reported hybrid sales in September dropped back down to 2.7% Hybrid new vehicle market share by month. All comparisons in this post are based on actual volume, not adjusted day sales rate. A total of 1,011 GM hybrid vehicles were delivered in the month, down 48.3% from a high of 3.6%

Buoyed by the US government’s CARS (“Cash for Clunkers”) program, US auto sales slowed their decline in the US in July, dropping on 12.1% All comparisons are by volume. Nissan sold 1,030 units of the Altima hybrid, up 44.1% Total Altima sales were down 21.2% Passenger car sales dropped 10.6% to 443, 297 units.
