Major Jerry Asher wheels around Arizona in a Toyota Prius hybrid, packing an extra battery and preaching a message to “kick gas” in favor of electric power. On a recent trip from Bisbee to Phoenix, the Spirit averaged 56 miles per gallon, he said.“ We have to find an alternative fuel source.”Right
