In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. Has shown some concept fuel-cell PHEVs. First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009. 2010 Prius designed to be manufactured with NiMH or Lithium batteries. Batteries not ready.
