The Central Lancashire team’s car was based around a 30cc petrol engine that had been developed in-house and had been coupled with a bespoke engine management system that keeps fuel consumption low. It is also fitted with the brakes from a mountain bike. The existing records are impressive.

Several dozen prototypes on 15-passenger van since 2004; now in second generation development; no production plans. They will buy a car and rent or lease the battery and the cost of leasing the battery will be the same as, or less than, the cost theyre paying today for petrol.
