I like Dency’s idea of installing these turbines atop tall poles on our South Bay piers where the winds are more forceful and regularly blowing. The Sea Hawk claims to need only 5mph winds to generate usable electricity, but it needs steady winds of 24mph or more to live up to its potential to generate the 500 watts it’s rated for.
