Those same challenges have led General Motors to reconsider its position on hybrids, with the company saying it would introduce new plug-in hybrid models in the coming months.

The Detroit company recently announced a shift from a full-on EV strategy to one that includes hybrids and plug-in hybrids. General Motors hasn’t had the smoothest time with its move to “in-house” the infotainment software in its vehicles. GM voluntarily paused sales of its popular midsize trucks to fix issues with their software.
