The all-electric Volvo C40 Recharge is available online via volvocars.com in select markets across Europe as of this week. The propulsion system consists of twin electric motors, one on the front and one on the rear axle, powered by a 78 kWh battery that can be fast-charged to 80% in about 40 minutes.

On paper, the 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge Twin Ultimate seems like a fine compact EV. To me, it felt like tech for the sake of tech – “Hey, we can do this, so we should, even if it’s not all that beneficial.” To be fair, Android phone users may find the Google-based system a bit quicker to learn than iPhone users. And it looks cool.
