Kia India hits 1-million units produced milestone

Kia India marked the milestone of producing one million vehicles from its manufacturing facility at Anantapur by rolling out the first unit of its newest innovation—the new Seltos. The new Seltos comes with a new-age design, 32 safety features including Level 2 ADAS with 17 Features and features such as a panoramic sunroof. It is now available for pre-bookings in India.

Bosch starts volume production of its fuel-cell power module; Nikola pilot customer

Bosch has now begun volume production of its Fuel-Cell Power Module (FCPM) at its Stuttgart-Feuerbach location. Nikola Corporation, based in the United States, will serve as the pilot customer with its Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell electric truck, which is scheduled to enter the North American market in the third quarter of 2023. The Bosch plant in Bamberg, Germany, will supply the Feuerbach factory with the fuel-cell stack.

@nov22 In reply to nov22. Tesla does not make all batteries in-house. It just buys most batteries from panasonic, LG, and of course from China's CATL, the world's largest battery maker. Tesla's gigapress casting machines are bought from Hong Kong's LK Technology, a leading maker of gigapress. Again, gigapress is not something invented by tesla. BYD, the leader in EV worldwide, is the only EV maker that makes all the batteries for all its cars.

The US Department of Energy (DOE) released a Notice of Intent (NOI), which includes a Request for Information (RFI) ( DE-NOI-0202301 ), to invest up to $1 billion in a demand-side initiative to support the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs (H2Hubs) ( earlier post ). The H2Hubs program will help form the foundation of a national clean hydrogen network. June 2023 – Tesla Model Y was the best selling BEV in Germany

June saw plugin EVs at 24.6% share in Germany, down from 26.0% year on year. Full electrics grew their share at a decent rate, up from 14.4% to 18.9%, the share of plugin hybrids halved, however, after incentives were cut. Overall auto volume was 280,047 units, up 24.7% YoY, still far down on the pre-2020 norm (roughly 330,000). The Tesla Model Y was the best selling BEV in June, and third best seller of any auto.
