Volvo Cars? Chengdu car plant powered by 100% renewable electricity; 65% hydropower

The Volvo Cars manufacturing plant in Chengdu, the company’s largest in China, is now powered by 100% renewable electricity, taking the company’s global renewable electricity mix in its manufacturing network to 80%. Until recently, the Chengdu plant already sourced 70% of its electricity from renewable sources.

Rolls-Royce mtu Kinetic PowerPack approved for renewable diesel

Rolls-Royce has approved its mtu Kinetic PowerPacks, based on the mtu Series 4000 and 1600 diesel engines, for use with renewable diesel (HVO/Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) and the other synthetic diesel fuels of the EN15940 standard. The systems performed the same with HVO as with fossil diesel.
