In model year 2011, there were just three different models of all-electric vehicles (AEV) available and their ranges on a full charge (according to the Environmental Protection Agency) spanned from 63 to 94 miles. From 2011 to 2018, the median of the AEV ranges increased by 52 miles: from 73 to 125 miles.

The median EV range reached 270 miles for 2023 models. That’s 13 miles more than 2022MY vehicles and more than enough to cover the average weekly commute for US drivers. According to EPA data , the median EV range hit 270 miles for ’23 model year vehicles. That’s nearly 200 miles more than where it was ten years ago (82).

Chrysler Group Global Electric Motorcars LLC (GEM), a wholly owned subsidiary of Chrysler Group LLC, recently launched the 2011 GEM vehicle line of low-speed battery-electric vehicles. More than 45,000 GEM vehicles are on the road worldwide. Utility tie downs that allow cargo to easily be secured in any of the GEM utility vehicles.
