The new pathways include two renewable diesel pathways; two biodiesel pathways, and one corn ethanol pathway. The revised package is for corn oil biodiesel. DGD began producing renewable diesel at its plant in St. Natural gas, residual oil, and electricity are used in the processing of UCO. Champway Technology Ltd.

With the successful scale-up of this technology, it is believed that Gevo’s HEDFs could be produced at a lower cost than the petroleum-based equivalent, even at current oil prices. Gevo produces isobutanol, ethanol and high-value animal feed at its fermentation plant in Luverne, Minnesota.
