The Jeep is ending the sale in France of non-electrified internal combustion engines (ICE) on all the Renegade and Compass ranges; the Wrangler and the Grand Cherokee being already only available in 4xe plug-in hybrid versions. e-Hybrid versions of Renegade and Compass replace ICE engines, including diesel versions.

ProLogium to build €5.2B gigafactory for solid-state batteries in France

This major investment project aims to facilitate supply chain localization, R&D activities, and the manufacturing of next-generation batteries in Europe for ProLogium. Solid-state batteries can also reduce the time for EV recharge to a level similar to the time it takes to refuel an ICE car, the company said.

Opel begins production and deliveries of hydrogen Vivaro van

The Vivaro-e HYDROGEN is based on the existing battery electric Opel Vivaro-e, the “2021 International Van of the Year”. The battery also enables regenerative braking, while the plug-in capability offers the opportunity to recharge the battery externally if necessary, e.g. at a charging station, providing 50 km of pure battery electric range.
