Nissan Canada commits 500 Nissan LEAFs for sale to Toronto Atmospheric Fund FleetWise EV300 Partners

Nissan Canada and the Toronto Atmospheric Fund (TAF) announced a Letter of Agreement to ensure the Nissan LEAF will be an important part of TAF’s FleetWise EV300 program. Nissan has committed the availability of 500 Nissan LEAFs for sale to TAF partners with initial deliveries beginning in the second half of 2011.

Renault-Nissan Alliance invests $160M in Korea; zero-emission vehicle in 2013

Renault-Nissan Alliance will invest US$160 million in Korea to meet anticipated demand for the next-generation Nissan Rogue and to accelerate growth of Renault Samsung Motors. Production of Nissan Rogue crossover in Busan, Korea, will begin in 2014, with an annual capacity of about 80,000 units.

Nissan begins Japan sales of new quick charger for EVs; targeting sales of 5K units by March 2016

Nissan Motor Co., has begun selling its new quick charger at Nissan parts companies throughout Japan. The newly-developed quick charging unit retains the high performance of the current quick charger manufactured by Nissan, but is nearly half the size (by volume). The actual cost is would then be upwards of ¥318,500 (US$4,100).
