Chevrolet Volt owners surpass half a billion electric miles; 63% of overall driving in EV mode

Chevrolet Volt owners have accumulated more than half a billion all-electric miles since the vehicle’s launch in 2010. Volt owners are doing more than 63% of their overall driving in EV mode. Volt owners who charge regularly typically drive more than 970 miles between fill-ups and visit the gas station less than once a month.

Colorado buyers of Chevy Volt eligible for $13,500 in tax credits

Colorado residents who purchase or lease a new Chevrolet Volt are eligible for a state tax credit of up to $6,000 in addition to a federal tax credit of up to $7,500 for a total price reduction of as much as $13,500. GM to Begin Sales of Volt in California, Other Lead Markets to Follow; Partnership with Utilities

At the Los Angeles Auto Show, GM announced that the Chevrolet Volt extended range electric vehicle will first be available late next year in California, with other lead markets to be named later. Volt production is scheduled to begin in late 2010. Pricing has not been announced. and seven other utilities in the project.

Next 10 report finds California will meet or exceed original target of 1.5M ZEVs by 2025

A newly released analysis produced by Beacon Economics for the nonprofit, nonpartisan think-tank Next 10 has found that California’s zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) market is on track to meet or exceed a target of 1.5 million ZEVs on California’s roads by 2025. As of October 2017, 337,483 ZEVs have been sold in California.
