The Norwegian shipping industry is teaming up to develop battery-powered ships. In 2015, these will be followed by the world’s largest electric ferry, which will regularly cross Norway’s largest fjord. And when in harbor, the vessel should be able to simply use power stored in the batteries.

Hyundai to begin production of ix35 Fuel Cell vehicle in December; targeting 1,000 units by 2015

In December 2012, Hyundai will begin production of the ix35 Fuel Cell crossover vehicle at its Ulsan manufacturing facility in Korea, with a target of building up to 1,000 vehicles by 2015. The fuel cell stack—which uses a low-cost bipolar plate and gasket material—itself has a power density of 1.65 Fuel cell output power.

ITM Power in fuel cell materials handling trial with Marks and Spencer plc
