Mullen to begin testing Linghang solid-state polymer battery technology in vehicles on US roads in Q4 2023

Mullen Automotive, an emerging EV manufacturer, has integrated solid-state polymer battery technology into Mullen’s commercial Class 1 EV cargo van program. Berkeley Lab conductive polymer coating could enhance performance of EV batteries

Scientists at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) have developed a conductive polymer coating—called HOS-PFM—that could enable longer lasting, more powerful lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles. At room temperature (20 ˚C), alkyl end-chains on the PFM polymer chain limit the movement of lithium ions.
