Both cars will be all-wheel drive thanks to front and rear electric motors (250 kW each).

Volkswagen will formally unveil the Golf GTE—a new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the Golf hatchback combining electric mobility with the dynamics of a Golf GTI—at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Theoretical range is around 580 miles (933 km). The Golf GTE packages a 1.4-liter seconds and on to 135 mph (217 km/h).

The new E-Berlingo extends Citroën’s electric vehicle range consisting of the C-ZERO, E-MEHARI and Berlingo LCV, each one responding to specific needs in its respective segment. The E-Berlingo has an NEDC range of 170 km (106 miles).

The Toyota Surfrider Camry Hybrid CNG and two modified Prius gas-electric hybrid vehicles are on display in the Environmental Lifestyle Zone of the Toyota vehicle display at the 2009 SEMA Show.
