The Toyota Yaris Hybrid saw European sales totaling 11,459 units (29.6%) during the first quarter of 2013. The Prius family posted 9,166 units (23.7%) in the first quarter. Of those, 4,039 were the classic Prius; 3,715 were the Prius+; and 1,412 were the Prius PHV.

The show car was production ready, save for the Guidestar. The all-new navigation system entered testing in late 1994 and was put into production Oldsmobiles for the 1995 model year. Ninety Eight was also due to be phased out in favor of the upcoming flagship Aurora, a most needed product change.&

What is a surprise to us, was the rebound in sales of the Prius Prime, which was up 128% YOY. And as you can see from the chart below, the the Prius is heading toward 60% of its sales being for the Prime PHEV version. A fourth trend or finding is that YOY sales increased 154% for these EVs with publicly reported numbers.
