Study finds twice as many cellulose fibers as microplastics in the Atlantic Ocean

Green Car Congress

A study by three French institutes—Ifremer, the University of Bordeaux and the IRD (a public research institution)—has found that the surface water of the Atlantic Ocean is twice as polluted by cellulose fibers as it is by microplastics. Upcoming sea passages will enable an even deeper understanding of the Atlantic Ocean.

“Project Volt Gas Volt” proposes long-term financing plan to support widespread implementation of power-to-gas systems

Green Car Congress

Although they are targeting an initial implementation France, they see it as broadly applicable. The hydrogen is combined with CO 2 to produce methane, which is pumped into and stored in the existing natural gas grid and used like natural gas for use in power generation, transportation, or other thermal and industrial uses.

Bio-inspired H2-Evolving Nickel Catalyst Shows Promise for Fuel Cells; Step Toward Practical Electrode Based on Earth-Abundant Materials

Green Car Congress

A team scientists in France have created a bio-inspired catalyst by attaching a nickel bisdiphosphine–based mimic of the active site of hydrogenases (natural enzymes used by some microbes in their energy metabolism to catalyze H 2 /H + interconversion reactions, earlier post ) onto multiwalled carbon nanotubes. Metamaterials Could Solve One of 6G’s Big Problems

Cars That Think

But how can we possibly engineer and control a wireless environment, which is determined by a host of factors, many of them random and therefore unpredictable? Today, hundreds of researchers in Europe, Asia, and the United States are working on applying RIS to produce programmable and smart wireless environments. gigahertz.
