Both the standard- and extended-range battery packs offered on F-150 Lightning will deliver more horsepower than originally targeted and announced when the truck was revealed in May 2021, and the payload capacity increased as well. The extended-range battery pack produces 580 horsepower—up from the targeted 563 horsepower.

Ford confirms F-150 Lightning final EPA-estimated ranges; some models with increased range

The all-electric F-150 Lightning has completed final EPA testing; some F-150 Lightning customers will benefit from an increase in range ahead of launch this spring. Fleet customers have the option to purchase the extended range battery on Lightning Pro and that has an EPA-estimated range of 320 miles.

Indianapolis plans to add 425 PHEVs and BEVs to municipal fleet by 2016

The new Indy fleet vehicles will include 100% electric models, such as the Nissan LEAF, as well as plug-in hybrid models like the Chevrolet Volt and the Ford Fusion Energi, which offer extended range. The City will replace 100 vehicles by the end of this year and 425 vehicles by the beginning of 2016.

Beijing, Xi'an latest cities to offer subsidies to encourage residents to buy NEVs

11% of Boston Public Schools bus fleet to run on propane
