A new University of Michigan study compares the cost of ownership for EVs and internal-combustion vehicles across 14 U.S. cities, finding that the path to cost parity between the two varies by region. Tesla is expanding its presence in Texas as it snapped up a building located in Hutto, located about 25 miles north of its Gigafactory in Austin. Tesla plans at least $1.5 million in renovations to the building, which is located off of U.S. Route 79 and County Road 199. This is close to Samsung’s Semiconductor factory, which is just three miles East of Hutto.
