For example the LEAF has a 24 KWh battery pack, and a full pack is good for around 100 miles. Very basic maths gives the LEAF a power usage of close to 4 miles per KWh. That rate would give the LEAF a cost of 17.2 * 24 to drive 100 miles. More simply, volts x amps = watts. Your power comes from the grid as 240 Volts AC.
