Bosch and Qingling Motors cooperate on fuel cells; new JV in China

Bosch and China-based premium commercial vehicle manufacturer Qingling Motors have established a joint venture in China: Bosch Hydrogen Powertrain Systems (Chongqing) Co. The new company will develop, assemble and market fuel cell systems for the Chinese market. Small-scale production will start there this year.

Geely launches Methanol Hybrid Emgrand in China market

Geely recently launched its Methanol Hybrid Emgrand ( earlier post ) in the Chinese market. In addition to the methanol hybrid and sedan, Geely Commercial Vehicles has produced the Farizon M100 heavy truck, which has passed “China VI” emissions standards. Geely also offers a non-hybrid methanol-fueled version of the Emgrand.
