In a new study published in the journal Applied Energy , Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) researchers found that controlled charging of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) reduces the costs of integrating the vehicles into an electricity system by 54–73% depending on the scenario.

Only available in the US beginning in March of 2021, the hot-selling Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) was apparently the top-selling PHEV in the US last year. From where I sit, a new PHEV from Jeep outselling the Toyota RAV4 Prime is actually pretty impressive. Flip a coin.

Chinese electric vehicle sales have hit 31 percent of the overall market, with 25 percent being pure EVs, a substantial growth year-over-year. According to a report by CleanTechnica , sales of electrified vehicles in May hit 31 percent of the overall market with 25 percent being fully electric vehicles.
