Oomph’s new Powerstream mobile rapid DC charger – Charged EVs

British EV charging technology company Oomph has introduced the new Powerstream mobile 30 kW DC charger. It operates as a DC in/DC out mobile energy storage device, and can be mounted in the back of a light commercial vehicles (LCV) or manually wheeled around. The Powerstream is portable, and requires no installation.

Mercedes-Benz updates EQB electric SUV for 2024

DENZA EV tracking towards market introduction in China this year; ABB to supply DC fast chargers

(BDNT), the Chinese joint venture between Daimler and BYD, has selected ABB to supply DC fast chargers for BDNT’s battery-electric DENZA over the next six years. Furthermore, the DENZA vehicle will also be rechargeable at a conventional wall socket. Public DC fast charging is expected to be rolled out in China in the near future.

EVBox supplies 300 EV charging stations to EVzen network in France – Charged EVs

Amsterdam-based EVSE provider EVBox will supply 300 EVBox Troniq Modular DC fast charging stations for the second stage of the rollout of charging network EVzen. EVzen is an initiative of Monaco-headquartered SMEG, a gas and electric utility company that has diversified to include renewable energy and vehicle recharging.

IDTechEx: we need fast, reliable and ubiquitous public charging stations

IDTechEx forecasts that most of the new DC charging installations will be in the 100+ kW power classes. The Nevera’s 120 kWh, liquid-cooled battery uses an 800 V architecture which should be able to recharge from 0 to 80% SoC in 22 minutes, with the car supporting a peak charging power of 500 kW.
