bp selects Honeywell’s Ecofining technology for new diesel and sustainable aviation fuels project in Australia

bp and Honeywell have signed a licensing agreement for Honeywell UOP’s Ecofining technology. bp is undergoing pre-feed engineering for its proposed diesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) project in Western Australia. Tüpra? and Honeywell sign licensing agreement for the use of Honeywell UOP Ecofining technology; renewable diesel and SAF

will license Honeywell UOP Ecofining technology to produce biofuels from feedstocks such as used cooking oil and waste animal fat at their refinery in Izmir, Türkiye. The new Ecofining plant is being designed to convert approximately 8,300 barrels per day of waste feeds/feedstocks to SAF, renewable diesel, and other products.

US new light-duty diesel sales dropped slightly in 2016 to 280,000 units from 300,000 in 2015

Latest generation diesels power 36% of US commercial trucks
