First public hydrogen station in Belgium to be located on Toyota land leased to Air Liquide

Construction has started on the first public hydrogen station in Belgium, to be operated by Air Liquide. Two regions of Europe are taking part in this project: the Brussels region in Belgium, and the Wer-Ems region in Germany. In the first half of 2016, Toyota will also bring the Mirai to Belgium, a fourth European market.

In France, which liberalized the taxi market in 2015, the number of reported PHV drivers doubled in three years (from more than 15,000 in 2016 to 30,000 in 2019). The number of Uber drivers in London almost doubled in three years (from 25,000 in 2016 to 45,000 in 2018), accounting for roughly half the total PHV licence number.

Umicore to Build Battery Recycling Plant in Belgium

Umicore will build an industrial scale recycling facility for end-of-life rechargeable batteries in Hoboken, Belgium. By 2012 in the European Union, for example, 25% of all portable batteries placed on the market will have to be collected and recycled. This figure will rise to 45 % by 2016.

ENGIE investing €100M in CNG/LNG stations in Europe to 2020
