WinGD and HSD Engine collaborate to deliver methanol-fueled two-stroke engines

Swiss marine power company WinGD and Korean engine builder HSD Engine have initiated a Joint Development Project (JDP) to advance the development of WinGD’s methanol-fueled big-bore engines. Under the JDP, WinGD will oversee combustion and injection research, exhaust aftertreatment requirements and engine concept design.

Wärtsilä hits methanol milestone with first newbuild engine order

BMW Group commences in-house production of fuel cell systems for BMW iX5 Hydrogen in Munich

Volkswagen Group to build own engine plant in Russia; production to begin in 2015

The Volkswagen Group is expanding its capacities in Russia with the construction of a new engine plant in Kaluga, Russia. The Volkswagen Group will invest approximately €250 million (US$314 million) at the new location, where a a 1.6-liter liter gasoline engine from the EA 211 series will be produced locally as of 2015.
