WinGD and HSD Engine collaborate to deliver methanol-fueled two-stroke engines

Swiss marine power company WinGD and Korean engine builder HSD Engine have initiated a Joint Development Project (JDP) to advance the development of WinGD’s methanol-fueled big-bore engines. Under the JDP, WinGD will oversee combustion and injection research, exhaust aftertreatment requirements and engine concept design.

Wärtsilä hits methanol milestone with first newbuild engine order

The technology group Wärtsilä has received its first order for newbuild methanol-fueled engines. A new Offshore Wind Installation Vessel (WIV) being built for Dutch contracting company Van Oord at Yantai CIMC Raffles shipyard in China will be powered by five Wärtsilä 32 engines capable of operating with methanol.

Bentley ending production of iconic W12 engine with the most powerful version ever

Bentley will cease production of its 12-cylinder gasoline engine in April 2024, by which time more than 100,000 examples of the iconic W12 will have been handcrafted in the company’s Dream Factory in Crewe, England.
