Anheuser-Busch transitioning 30% of dedicated fleet to renewable natural gas

Anheuser-Busch is transitioning more than 180 trucks—representing approximately 30% of its dedicated fleet—to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). In 2014 and 2015, Anheuser-Busch converted 160 diesel-fueled trucks in Houston and St. Louis to fleets powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) engines.

City of Oakland using NEXBTL renewable diesel for municipal fleet

The City of Oakland, California has begun filling up its vehicles with Neste’s NEXBTL renewable diesel in order to reduce the emissions of their municipal fleet. Oakland is the first major US city to convert their entire fleet to renewable diesel. The City will consume about 230,000 gallons of renewable diesel per year.

SUPERVALU unveils new natural gas powered truck fleet and fill station

The fleet, which operates out of SUPERVALU’s Mechanicsville, Va., and North Carolina, is the largest private fleet of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic region. The conversion to natural gas will reduce the fleet’s annual oil consumption by more than 1 million gallons and result in 1,300 fewer tons of greenhouse gas emissions.

UQM Technologies enters relationship with South Korean Power Plaza for 1-ton converted electric trucks

11% of Boston Public Schools bus fleet to run on propane

Boston Public Schools will operate 11% of its bus fleet with Blue Bird propane autogas buses, starting with the 2015-2016 school year. The school district is purchasing 86 Blue Bird Propane Vision school buses, and hopes to convert more of their diesel fleet to propane buses in the future.
