As Japan aims to take its plug-in vehicle sales to 600,000 a year by 2020, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) has outlined the steps that will need to be taken to reach this goal. China’s fourth largest car manufacturer Chongqing Changan Automobile Co and Orbital Corporation Limited have formed a joint development to work on a concept engine. In April 2008, Changan displayed a prototype engine developed with Orbital at the Beijing International Motor Show.
